The Lindy in the Park 20th Anniversary t-shirts and sweatshirts which were ordered and prepaid for during and after our Anniversary weekend in August have been printed, BUT there has been a delay in their delivery.  This includes items ordered online.

NEW PICK-UP DATES: OCT 23 – NOV 20
All t-shirts and sweatshirts ordered in person at Lindy in the Park, or ordered online with the “Pick up at Lindy in the Park” delivery option will be available for pick-up, in person, at Lindy in the Park beginning Sunday, Oct0ber 23, 2016.  Please pick up these items on or before Sunday, November, 20, 2016.  After this date, you will need to make special arrangements with the Lindy in the Park organizers to pick up your item(s).

NEW SHIPPING DATES: AFTER OCT 23
T-shirts and sweatshirts ordered online with the “Ship via US Post Service” delivery option will be shipped soon after Sunday, October 23, 2016, and customers should receive them by the middle of November.

On Saturday, August 20, 2016 and Sunday, August 21, 2016, Lindy in the Park, the longest-running weekly Lindy Hop dance in the San Francisco Bay Area, presents the Lindy in the Park 20th Anniversary Weekend (Facebook Event: https://www.facebook.com/events/980933778688380/ ), in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, California!

To make this Anniversary extra special, we’re going to celebrate for the whole weekend by adding a special LIVE music swing dance on the Saturday before our traditional anniversary dance/potluck on Sunday:

SATURDAY, August 20, 3:00-6:00pm
Free outdoor swing dance at the Golden Gate Park Band Shell (the original LitP location) featuring Lavay Smith and Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers!

SUNDAY, August 21, 11:00am-4:00pm
Free outdoor DJ’ed swing dance/potluck party at our current location, the south sidewalk of John F. Kennedy Drive. Extended hours, free beginner lesson at 12:00pm, and shared food and drinks!

Come celebrate and make this weekend a reunion for both new and long-time friends of Lindy in the Park, both local and from out of town! Reunite with old friends and make new ones! And please help us spread the word by forwarding this information to all your swing dance friends.

Reminder!

This Sunday, June 19, 2016 (Father’s Day), Lindy in the Park presents:
Live Music Day: Jacob Miller and the Bridge City Crooners

For only the 4th time in our 20-year history, Lindy in the Park will feature live music! From Portland, Oregon, as part of their West Coast tour, Jacob Miller and the Bridge City Crooners will swing by the park and play some old timey blues and jazz. This 6-piece band features a vintage jazz sound, playing both classic standards and original numbers.

WHEN: Sunday, June 19, 2016 (Father’s Day), 11:00am-2:00pm (band: 12:45pm)

WHERE: Same time and location as our regular Lindy in the Park events: Golden Gate Park, San Francisco (south sidewalk of John F. Kennedy Drive between 8th and 10th Avenues, near the de Young Museum)

BAND: Jacob Miller and the Bridge City Crooners from Portland, Oregon. “A captivating mix of western swing, Americana, and hot jazz music”.

COST: FREE, as always!
