Come celebrate the holidays at a special Holiday edition of Lindy in the Park this Sunday, December 19th! Enjoy some hot apple cider, individually wrapped snacks, decorations, holiday swing music, and a surprise performance!
You’re welcome to bring individually wrapped snacks to share too (some healthful ideas: tangerines, fresh fruit, nuts, cheese & crackers, edamame, multigrain chips or crackers, kettle corn, popcorn, veggies).
Lindy in the Park is ON for today, December 12, 2021! Although the forecasts predict rain throughout the day, it’s very, very light: only 0.00-0.02 inches of rain per hour until 2:00pm. But we may end early if the weather gets too bad. Bring your rain gear and dress warmly!
Your pre-paid order for a Lindy in the Park 25th Anniversary sweatshirt or t-shirt has arrived! Please pick up your item(s) in person at Lindy in the Park between this Sunday, October 10 and October 31, 2021, 11:00am-2:00pm.
Please note that items NOT picked by October 31, 2021 will be considered abandoned and LitP can resell these item(s) with no refunds to the original customer. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you very much for your order, support, and understanding!

SATURDAY, AUGUST 14, 12:00pm–3:00pm: FREE LIVE MUSIC SWING DANCE with CLINT BAKER’S GOLDEN GATE SWING BAND Bandshell, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco
We return to Lindy in the Park’s original location at the historic Music Concourse Bandshell in Golden Gate Park, and we will feature one of our favorite bands, Clint Baker’s Golden Gate Swing Band, swingin’ in the spirit of hard-driving Kansas City swing. Tight and powerful, they will make you want to dance every song! Great music for Lindy Hop, Balboa, Shag, and all things swing. Check them out here:
So let’s turn back the clock and party like it’s 1996!
SUNDAY, AUGUST 15, 11:00am–4:00pm: FREE OUTDOOR DJ’ED SWING DANCE & POTLUCK PARTY JFK Drive, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco
Continue the anniversary celebration at Lindy in the Park’s annual swing dance/potluck party located at our regular location: the south sidewalk of John F. Kennedy Jr Drive between 8th and 10th Avenues, behind the de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. Bring main dishes, side dishes, salads, desserts, and drinks to share. Extended hours, free beginner lesson (12:00-12:30pm), and food! Group photo at 2:30pm!
POTLUCK DETAILS Lindy in the Park will provide basic items in limited quantities for the Sunday potluck, including burgers/hotdogs (meat & vegetarian), buns & fixings, tossed salad, fresh fruit, anniversary cake, water, and eating ware (plates, cups, utensils, napkins). For health and safety reasons, if you bring food/drinks to share, we prefer that it be individually wrapped/packaged if possible, or at the very least, covered. Or, in lieu of bringing food, you may make a small cash donation toward the food costs on the day of the event. Thank you!
25TH ANNIVERSARY T-SHIRTS & SWEATSHIRTS! We will be selling special limited-edition Lindy in the Park 25th Anniversary t-shirts ($20) and sweatshirts ($50) at both the Saturday and Sunday Lindy in the Park events. Only available in-person, cash only.
COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES Please note that because Lindy in the Park is free and open to the public, we cannot require attendees to be vaccinated or tested for Covid-19. We welcome all those who want to attend regardless of their vaccination status. However, even though Lindy in the Park takes place outdoors, we ask that people still wear face coverings while partner dancing and continue to practice good hygiene: washing hands, coughing into elbows, staying home when sick, etc..
Lindy in the Park is also taking the following safety precautions: 1) Making frequent announcements throughout the event to wear masks while dancing. 2) Designating a separate eating area (the north sidewalk, across the street from the dancing area) for the potluck event on Sunday. 3) Selling Lindy in the Park face masks (2-layer cloth, with adjustable ear loop & nose plate) on August 14th & 15th, $5 each. 4) Giving out free “Fully Vaccinated” Lindy in the Park buttons to people who can show proof of vaccination. 5) Providing free hand sanitizer.
