In case you’re wondering, and apparently many of you are, yes, we are planning to have Lindy in the Park this Sunday, Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011 (weather permitting).  Lindy in the Park is a year-round event, happening every Sunday, even on most holidays and holiday weekends, including Easter!

The weather forecast says there’s a chance of rain, so if you have any doubts about the weather, check this web site.  If we cancel, we’ll post an announcement by 10:00am Sunday morning (If there’s no cancellation announcement by 10:00am, you can assume LitP is on).  Of course, if it start raining after Lindy in the Park has started, we may need to quit early.

But as of now, Lindy in the Park is on, so practice your Bunny Hop!

Hi Everyone,

This Sunday, March 27, for only the second time in our 14-year history, a live band will play at Lindy in the Park! (weather permitting) Our very own swing dancer James Thornton heads up the Bay Area Swing All Stars who will play a set of classic swing numbers from 1:30-2:00 PM. (DJ’ed music from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM)

The 8-piece band includes James on trombone, another swing dancer, Tom Murray, on guitar, plus a second guitar, stand-up bass, tenor sax, baritone sax, and two trumpets.

So come on out and dance to live music outdoors! This Sunday only! Lindy in the Park!

Sorry Folks,

Lindy in the Park is canceled today due to rain. It’s currently sprinkling here in SF (10:05 am) and the forecasts predict more rain throughout the day. Hopefully we’ll be back next week.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for not posting sooner, but Lindy in the Park is (was) canceled for today, Sunday, November 7, 2010. Jen, Naomi, and I just returned early this morning from Anaheim and the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame Awards ceremony, and I did not have a chance to post this notice on our website until now. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, especially for those of you who come from far away. We hope the weather is better next week.
